A Closer Look At The Best Computer Speakers

It is revolution all the way in the past five years in the world of business with computers changing the working and living style that was limited only to large business and offices. It has invaded not only the business and offices, but has now become a household necessity in US, Europe and the Far East. Messages are sent through computers. It not only comes handy for any work, but also for shopping online, watching and listening to the news.

The early computers were not much in terms of multimedia devices but today many people use computers to watch movies, listen and create music and other types of media. This means that they come with advanced sound and video cards. The use of computers as multimedia gateways has spawned a whole new industry in computer accessories such as speakers and surrounds sound systems. Computer speakers, now come in many shapes and sizes.

There is a stiff competition with companies like Dell, Compaq, HP and Acer going cutthroat in the market. Dell comes up with computers that has in built speakers and hence does not require any additional or external speakers. Harman Kardon speakers are a branded one that comes up with Compaq monitors that comes built in, the sound system of which are very good.

Other than the usual computer makers that we know so well, there are many other companies that make computer speakers. These are household electronics companies which are also in entertainment technology such as music systems and surround sound home theater systems.

Traditional computer speakers used to come in the set of twos. This has also changed. It is not uncommon to see one larger subwoofer followed by a series of tweeter speaker sets. These can range from 4 to 6 depending on the name and brand.

There are many companies that make computer speakers. These are also the same companies which create household name electronics. When it comes to consumer entertainment technology such as music systems, there are many brands and surround sound home theater systems.

And companies like Sony, JVC, Bose, Maxell, Akai, AIWA, Zenith and Samsung are no more new and are very old players in the market. They too are coming with their make of computer speakers. They are as simple as a sound jack that has to be plugged into the computer with a power cable that is attached to the wall. Reputed companies like Creative Lab are nowhere behind. They are making home entertainment units for computers.

Speakers used to come in the traditional set of two but now, computer speaker manufactures are including home theater capability in home computer speaker systems. It is no longer difficult to see computer speaker systems coming with a mid-range sub-woofer with a movie-quality bass and multiple other small speakers for surround sound functionality. - 18758
