Understanding The Ill Effects Of Movie Downloads
Everybody knows that movie downloads are illegal, and yet very few people seem to care. They are easy to find and use, and often you don't feel as though you're doing anything wrong. There are stories where it does happen, and companies are usually eager to get these out in the open, heavily promoting all the consequences people faced to get others to stop doing similar things.
There just isn't a lot of risk, and for most people this is comforting enough. However, if all people who did this were caught, the fines would be alarmingly huge.
Unfortunately, there is a common thought process for many people wherein their only concern is their own risk. Because they probably aren't going to get caught, they don't feel as though there's any reason for them to stop what they're doing. It's a rationalization process that keeps them from having to consider the actual consequences of their actions.
Try to understand how the people who work on movies feel. They live on the money they make from the film, and they won't make any when somebody downloads a movie as opposed to buying it.
Put yourself in the shoes of somebody watching their personal, hard-earned profits slip away because of people downloading their movie without paying for it. You wouldn't want this done to you, so you shouldn't do it to anybody else.
