Look At Ten Excellent Film Assessments For You To Pick From

By Kristine Butler

Now you need to come across a excellent download website. The quantity of cash you are ready to spend will settle on which site you will employ. The added detail to look at when downloading from the Internet is the feedback of the site. Make sure the feedback from the website is mostly positive and that there have not been complaints of computer viruses being downloaded with the files. An additional issue to look at is the charge per download. Most websites will have monthly, quarterly, or yearly plans. If you choose a yearly plan it will end up cheaper than a monthly plan. Choose from the summaries below to download.

Soup for One - Sporadically triumphing although choppy presentation of solo New Yorker Rubinek looking for his dream gal. Cast includes Saul Rubinek, Marcia Strassman, Gerrit Graham, Teddy Pendergrass, Richard Libertini, Andrea Martin, and Lewis J. Stadlen. (87 minutes, 1982)

The Last Time I Saw Archie - Webb's lone try at comedy is less foolish than some of his more earnest films; a shame, since William Bowers' script-based on his own Army experiences had real potential, and Mitchum pleasantly underplays as the con guy. By the way, the genuine Archie Chamber sued for invasion of privacy. Cast includes Robert Mitchum, Jack Webb, Martha Hyer, France Nuyen, Louis Nye, Richard Arlen, Don Tangles, Joe Flynn, and Robert Strauss. (98 minutes, 1961)

Slaughter's Big Ripoff - A assassin is still playing games with the Mafia in this dull action film. McMahon gives more effort to his role as the mob boss than it is worth. Cast includes Jim Brown, Ed McMahon, Brock Peters, Don Stroud, Gloria Hendry, Dick Anthony Williams, and Art Metrano. (93 minutes, 1973)

La Nuit de Varennes - Clever historical legend has such famous entities as Casanova and Thomas Paine cross roads at the time of the French Rebellion. Cast includes Marcello Mastroianni, Jean-Louis Barrault, Hanna Schygulla, Harvey Keitel, and Jean-Claude Brialy. (133 minutes, 1982)

The Gorgeous Hussy - Stars fill the cast in this fictionalized historical drama of Peggy O'Neal, President Andrew Jackson's clandestine lover. The cast is magnificently costumed in well assigned settings. The movie is based on the narrative by Samuel Hopkins Joyce. Cast includes Joan Crawford, Robert Taylor, Lionel Barrymore, Franchot Tone, Melvyn Douglas, James Stewart, Alison Skipworth, Beulah Bondi, and Gene Lockhart. (102 minutes, 1936)

Slattery's Hurricane - Weather reporter Widmark, in middle of storm, looks back on his life. Damell and Pool are the two women he has loved. Cast includes Richard Widmark, Linda Damell, Veronica Pool, John Russell, and Gary Merrill. (83 minutes, 1949)

The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe - This is a witty re-creation of Lily Tomlin's 1985 one female Broadway show. Her characterizations run the gamut from box woman to juvenile delinquent to New Age Lady, with much of the material in a feminist vein. The show stars Lily Tomlin obviously. (120 minutes, 1991)

Nutcracker the Motion Picture - Much of this interpretation of The Nutcracker, acted by the Pacific Norhtwest Ballet, is like a music video with rapid cutting and close-ups of legs, faces, and elbows. This is tremendously irritating. However the Tchaikovsky music is, obviously, amazing, as are Maurice Sendak's sets and costumes. Cast includes Hugh Bigney, Vanessa Sharp, Patricia Barker, Wade Walthall, Russell Burnett, and the voice of Julie Harris. (89 minutes, 1986)

Michael - A set of incredulous reporters and a phony "angel" discover that a dotty old female's statement that the archangel Michael is living with her is real. Michael, however, turns out not to be your usual angel. Genial, cynical film by no means goes where you anticipate and takes its time getting there, however the trip is appealing, and Travolta, as the sleazy, randy Michael, is impeccably cast. Cast includes John Travolta, Andie MacDowell, William Hurt, Robert Pastorelli, Bob Hoskins, Jean Stapleton, Teri Garr, Wally Ward, Joey Lauren Adams, Carla Gugino, Tom Hodges, and Wallace Langham. (105 minutes, 1996)

Lantana - Poignant, adult storyline of relationships obstructed by monotony, routine, and absence of articulation. LaPaglia plays a cop, whose marriage has stagnated, leading him to have an affair. In the mean time, he examines the disappearance of a lady whose own marriage is in danger. The film is beautifully nuanced at every turn. Cast includes Anthony LaLaglia, Geoffrey Hurry, Barbara Hershey, Kerry Armstrong, Rachael Blake, Vince Colosimo, Daniela Farinacci, and Peter Phelps. (121 minutes, 2001) - 18758
