Sugar Town - Entertaining variety of LA life characterizing a handful of characters whose lives merge - a musician wannabe who'll do anything to get ahead, an uptight lone lady who allures the wrong men like a magnet, and a band made up of cleaned-up '80s rock megastars, to name a few. Made on a shoestring, although astute and well recognized; superb cast comprises a variety of real life musicians. Cast includes Ally Sheedy, Rosanna Arquette, John Taylor, Jade Gordon, Michael Des Barres, Lucinda Jenney, and Martin Kemp. 92 minutes, 1999.

Frequency - John Sullivan lost his father thirty years back. He is still affected by the death. Somehow with the use of his dad's old ham radio, he can commune with his father, when his father was still alive. He warns his father of the fire that would kill him. This saves his dad but sets off new actions that now must be resolved, or John's mother will now die.

Pretty Woman - A chance meeting of a street prostitute and a callous and exceedingly well-to-do businessman leads to a unique proposition. He employs her for the week, to attend some functions with him as an escort. He has no indication what he has gotten himself into. Starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.

In God We Trust - Badly informed friar Feldman treks to Los Angeles. to get cash for his monastery. This movie is a comedy that is tragically not funny starring Richard Pryor, who is cast as God. Cast includes Marty Feldman, Peter Boyle, Louise Lasser, Richard Pryor, Andy Kaufman, Wilfrid Hyde-White, and Severn Darden. 97 minutes, 1984.

Bopha - Apprehensive, engaging rant with Glover and Woodard who played Nelson and Winnie Mandela in the Television movie MANDELA starring as a wedded couple living in a serene South African community. He's a patrol officer who contains the status quo; their world is sure to fall down while their child Ezia takes part in a rebellion divergent to the control and course of the neighborhood off-white-run school.
