I remember when I first wanted to learn to play piano. I assumed it was going to be a cakewalk. But I was in for a rude awakening. It's not that it's difficult to play the piano, it just takes some consistency in order to really see results. I don't mean being bored and trying endless techniques.
What I'm talking about is setting a time to start playing the piano every day and stick to that time. Don't led this deter you from playing the piano. Practice is the key to anything if you want to become better.
In really boggles my mind when I hear people who think that you can learn the piano by not putting consistent work. Of course you can get a few pieces of knowledge in a short amount of time. But in order to relieve reach your full potential you're going to have two put in some kind of consistent work. There is that hated again: work. It's not a bad thing and actually when you learn what you're going it can be a fun thing.
Talent is not what defines someone who is great in anything especially the piano. While time it will help you to excel at a much higher level and faster speed, talent is nothing if there is no consistent work involved. That is the key. Talent will only get you so far. You need to understand that anybody who decides to put in hard work can even the playing field with someone who has talent. The piano is no different than anything else except you are creating melodic sounds on an instrument.
This same rules apply. You can play the piano even if you have never played before in your life, or if you have played but just never made any progress. The first thing is you need the right information. You can find this online. There are plenty of resources to help you.
The second thing is to apply these resources consistently. You can learn to play the piano if you decide that you really want to play. It's as simple as that. Once you make that decision follow through with it. Don't make excuses of why you can't. Make time and then do it. - 18758
