Lethal Weapon 4: Martin (Mel Gibson) and Roger (Danny Glover) are back in action, dealing with crime in Los Angeles. This time they are after counterfeiters. They are up against a Chinese martial arts master.
Hadley's Rebellion: Another adolescent-complication image, this one focusing on fighting-infatuated O'Neal. Cast includes Griffin O'Neal, William Devane, Charles Durning, Adam Baldwin, and Lisa Lucas. (96 minutes, 1984)
Beowulf: A mighty warrior, Beowulf has fought and defeated the demon beast Grendel. Now he will incur the wrath of his much more powerful mother. The epic battle that follows will have people speaking the name of Beowulf forever.
Abandon: A detective with a troubled past is asked to look into the disappearance of a college student. However, while doing so he finds himself allured to the missing scholar's lover. Gloomy mystery movie with supernatural components that. Don't quite work. Stephen Gaghan directs this film. (2002 Drama)
Payback: Porter and Val, two thieves pull of a nice job. Val double-crosses Porter by taking his money, and his girl. Then he then shoots him, and leaves him for dead. Porter isn't dead, and now it's time for payback.
Dragnet: Aykroyd is a joke rebirth of Jack Webb, playing Sgt. Joe Friday's thick although committed nephew in this burlesque. Hank is fun as his freewheeling new companion, with Morgan, Webb's onetime companion, now advertised to commander of the LAPD. Starts out relatively ludicrous then goes flat. However, the punch line is a screech. Aykroyd co-scripted this movie with Mankiewicz and Alan Zweibel. Cast includes Dan Aykroyd, Tom Hanks, Christopher Plummer, Harry Morgan, Alexandra Paul, Jack Halloran, Elizabeth Ashley, and Dabney Coleman. (106 minutes, 1987)
