Buying An Electronic Keyboard

By Edward Roel

Have an electronic keyword at home is an amazing thing because you can play and perform famous songs and pieces that, along your family, you can enjoy a lot.

Choosing an electronic keyboard is not a difficult task if you have a good guidance and this is the main purpose of these few words. There are different types and brands of electronic keyboards but in general I will give you my best recommendation based on my experience.

If you are a novice that is learning to play piano, my recommendation is that if you have a budget where you can take the jump of buying a professional or semi professional electronic keyboard. I think that you can do it, it is not necessary to buy a professional electronic keyboard because there are several options in the market with a very affordable price.

For instance, you can start with a good CASIO with some of the keyboards which belong to the CLK line of CASIO electronic keyboard. For learning purposes, you can start with one of them for only $100 or less.

There are also other options that you can examine for a bit more money. You can test some of the electronic keywords that are available from Yamaha. This popular brand has different and incredible options with modern and high quality sound. I can tell you that CASIO is not a bad brand, is an excellent one but Yamaha is a more reputable brand and there are some models that have an incredible sound that you can test.

When you are attempting to choose an electronic keyboard is also important the quantity of keyboard and the functions of record and different features. It is also very important that you can have a place where store you electronic keyboard to protect it from dust and for this reason you should think in a folder and also in a stand and even a chair to have a more comfortable performing and learning process. - 18758

Simple Do-it-Yourself Earbud Earphones Cleaning

By Rex Martin

Earbud earphones are certainly not one of the "cutting edge" models of headphones that are all about audio quality. On the other hand, these earphones are very cheap for an earphone and are also small enough to be kept in your pocket and brought anywhere you want to.

This is the very reason why numerous music aficionados still do not replace these earphones, even if there are several other earphones with other models that are more advanced in the market. So if you belong to this group of aficionados, then it is a good idea to learn just how you can clean your earphones and keep them in tiptop shape for more years to come.

You might not know it, but dirt and other harmful particles gather at the earbuds of your earphones. Additionally, the wax and sweat of the person can also cause accumulation of dirt into the earphones. The worst thing about the dirt is that it is unpleasant. Moreover, the dirt can result to ear complications and other infections.

This is why it is deemed necessary that you know the proper steps to take in cleaning your earbud earphones. You should know that cleaning the earphones takes more than just wiping it with a clean shirt or hanky. You should have a safe cleaning solution. This solution should be capable of softening any hardened dirt that is stuck in the rubber and plastic parts of your earphones. To make such solution, you may use hydrogen peroxide or a combination of warm water and soap.

First of all, you need to detach your earphones from the music player where it is connected before you can start with the cleaning. Keep your gadget away from the area you are cleaning and remove the connections form an outlet to avoid grounding, short-circuiting and electrocution.

Stir your solution until it achieves a slippery texture. Dip any clean piece of cloth on the solution and squeeze out any excess solution. The reason for doing this is to avoid fluid flowing inside the earphones and any other glitches. Wipe the dipped piece of cloth onto the dirty part until all the dirt is removed.

Also, ensure that soap will not be able enter your earbud earphones so any malfunctions will be thwarted. As for the mesh, the liquid solution is not recommended. Instead, you can make use of an old toothbrush and just scuff away any dirt that is trapped in it.

With this knowledge on cleaning your earbud earphones, you can eliminate all the worries of having ear malfunctions and ear infections. With this simple process, you can save money that you should be spending on buying new earphones. - 18758

Sinatra Swings To A Bossa Nova Beat

By David Glisan

One of the frequently heard criticisms of Frank Sinatras work is that he was essentially a one trick pony. He is often accused of not being a technically adept vocalist, and simply reworking a formula over and over again. While Sinatra certainly knew what worked for him, and what kind of songs and arrangements he liked this assertion is patently unfair and displays a profound ignorance of the entire body of his work. If you dig deeper in the Sinatra oeuvre, youll find some amazing examples of vocal prowess. Perhaps his best work in this regard came from his collaboration with legendary Brazilian guitarist Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Jobim is often credited with popularizing Bossa Nova music outside of Brazil. He worked with Sinatra on an album of samba tinged standards entitled Francis Albert Sinatra and Antonio Carlos Jobim. The work was a critical and commercial success, and Sinatra would hold Jobim in very high regard for the rest of his life"both as a musician and as a friend. After Jobim entered a semi-retirement in the 1970s and 1980s where he did little collaboration with other artists, Sinatra would often introduce his performances of Jobim songs live by remembering his Brazilian colleague in very fond terms or expressing the hope that the two men could work together in the future.

"Wave", written by Jobim and arranged by Eumir Deodato, is perhaps the finest of their collective work. It features some magnificent technical singing by Sinatra, including what are the lowest notes ever recorded by "The Chairman of the Board". For the rest of his life Sinatra enjoyed listening to 'Wave just to hear how good he sounds hitting the bass notes.

This song originally intended as the opening track of a second volume of Sinatra/Jobim collaborations, but it was never released as such. The story that has circulated over the years is that the Sinatra/Jobim album put on the back burner so that Reprise could release the concept album "Watertown" instead. As an commercial decision, it's tough to fathom the rationale if this is the case. "Watertown" sold fewer copies than any other Sinatra release on Reprise. Another story is that Sinatra himself nixed the release because he hated the cover art which featured the 'King of Swingers' wearing a windbreaker and standing in front of a Greyhound bus. Hard to blame him for disliking that image if this version of the story is true.

"Wave", along with the majority of the songs intended for the "Sinatra/Jobim" album finally surfaced on "Sinatra and Company" in 1970. The "b" side is some of Sinatra's ill-fated attempts to cover popular songs of the day ("Close To You", It's Not Easy Being Green", "Leaving On A Jet Plane"). These are recordings that even the most devoted Sinatra-philes collect for the sake of completing a collection only, and a stark contrast to the masterful work with Jobim on the album's "A" side. "Wave" also appeared on the Reprise box set and of course of the "Complete Reprise Recordings" suitcase collection.

Will Friedwald, in his definitive book on Sinatra's music "Sinatra: The Song Is You" described the singer's work with Jobim as having "flexibility and delicacy, as if they could be blown about by a soft Brazilian breeze". This sensual and sultry song, in particular, is among the finest vocal work of Sinatra's amazing career. - 18758
