Easy Guitar Songs For Beginners

By Payo W Perry

One of the common problems a lot of people just learning guitar encounter is trying to find easy guitar songs for beginners.

The learning process is all about maintaining an even learning curve and for this reason its important to make a smooth transition out of chords and into suitable easy guitar songs.

Let's look at some specific easy guitar songs for beginners. Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison or Please Mr. Postman by the Beatles would both be excellent easy guitar songs. Each contains no more than 4 chords and both share a simple strumming pattern.

A lot of easy guitar songs for beginners have just one or two progressions which simply repeat throughout the entire duration of the song; this means you can add your first easy guitar songs with little effort and gain some confidence.

It's vital to play along with original recordings when you practice the songs. Strumming should be smooth and even. Pay attention to your chords and ensure they are changing correctly with the lyrics.

Start with the chords and do a single down stroke in time with the entry of each new chord. The following step would be to play the strum on its own in time with the song using muted strings.

It would be a mistake to try to play all the various elements at once so next we apply just half of the strum to each chord before finally attempting the full strum. You can see from the above example that each element was practised on its own.

By building each part individually you give yourself a real chance of playing easy guitar songs for beginners without frustration.

An obvious resource for chords and lyrics are the many sites online where you can search and download the song sheets for free. The only problem is that often there are no indications for strumming. For this reason you should learn your set system of strums, often 4 -5 will do, separately. With those strums it'll be possible to play 100's of easy guitar songs for beginners.

Please bear in mind that you should avoid songs which are still too hard for your current level of guitar playing. Use wisdom and stick to easy guitar songs for beginners until such time as your technically able to attempt more difficult pieces.

So what if you find these so called easy songs really hard? Well that's a sure sign you haven't done enough work on your basic chords and strumming. Go back! Once your foundation in the basics is well practiced everything else, including all these easy guitar songs for beginners, will flow effortlessly. - 18758

Download Internet Videos

The list below has some good movie reviews. If you want to locate a movie download site do a search online. To get some good sites try to search phrases like "Unlimited DVD Rentals", "Online Movies To Watch", or "Movie Downloading Sites".

The Red Violin: Multi-episode film follows the destiny of a hexed violin from 17th-century Italy to 18th century Vienna, 19th century England, 20th-century China and present day Montreal. The tales are mainly downbeat and or aggravating, and the finish up part with appraiser Jackson is difficult to swallow. Colorful locales and enthralling premises sustain limited interest all the way through. Cast includes Carlo Cecchi, Irene Grazioli, Jean-Luc Bideau, Jason Flemyng, Greta Scacchi, Sylvia Chang, Samuel L. Jackson, Colm Feore, Monique Mercure, Don McKellar, and Sandra Oh. (131 minutes, 1998)

So Dark the Night: Renowned Parisian investigator is set to work throughout his holy day in the French country side. An impressively made B film, something of a sleeper in its time, agonizes only for absence of appeal on the part of its (mainly obscure) cast. Cast includes Steven Geray, Micheline Cheirel, Eugene Borden, Ann Codee, Egon Brecher, and Helen Freeman. (71 minutes, 1946)

Blind Faith: 2 brothers, one a patrol commander and the other a defense attomey, find their relation and their own sense of self esteem as black gentlemen in 1950s America turned upside down while the commander's child is implicated in a murderer. Tough and striking drama, which opens in the late '80s, concentrates on the racial separate and unfair due process system. Cast includes Courtney B. Vanee, Charles S. Dutton, Kadeem Hardison, Lonette McKee, and Garland Whitt. (107 minutes, 1998)

Down Periscope: Maverick naval officer is ultimately given the submarine he requests however it turns out to be a mothballed ruin with a crew that's not much more superior. If he could demonstrate his mettle (and the vessels) in a battle game scenario, he might graduate to a first rate atomic sub. Gentle comedy follows the black sheep makegood recipe somewhat well. Cast includes Kelsey Grammer, Lauren Holly, Bruce Dem, Thieve Schneider, Rip Torn, Harry Dean Stanton, William H. Macy, Ken Hudson Campbell, Toby Huss, Duane Martin, and Harland Williams. (92 minutes, 1996)

Shack Out on 101: Lee Marvin is a cook named Slob at a seaside greasy spoon in this cold war classic. The waitress (Terry Moore) seems to be spending most of her time fending off the lecherous advances of almost all her co-stars, but in fact she is trying to stop nuclear sectets from leaving the country. This is positively a one of a kind film, with most of the action taking place on a lone shabby set. Cast includes Terry Moore, Frank Lovejoy, Lee Marvin, Keenan Wynn, and Whit Bissell. (90 minutes, 1955)

Say One for Me: Bing plays a Broadway pastor who gets mixed up with a chorus gal (Debbie) and a Television charitable cause show. Horribly contrived; no memorable music. Cast includes Debbie Reynolds, Bing Crosby, Robert Wagner, Ray Walston, Les Tremayne, Connie Gilchrist, StelIa Stevens, Frank McHugh, Joe Besser, and Sebastian Cabot. (119 minutes, 1959)

Stage Door Canteen: Wartime tale of romance between cadet and hostess at N.Y.C.'s fabled canteen is filled with cameos, walk-ons, talks, and lyrical numbers by a remarkable battery of megastars, containing Katharine Hepburn, Harpo Marx, Paul Muni, Helen Hayes, Benny Goodman, Tally Basie, and Edgar Bergen. Cast includes Cast includes Chery Stroller, Wiliam Terry, MaIjorie Riordan, Lon McCallister, Margaret Eary, and Michael Harrison (Sundown Carson). (132 minutes, 1943)

Crusoe: Dense rendition of the oft-filmed Defoe classic, with Quinn cast as the title personality, a servant dealer who's shipwrecked on a defected isle, where he must handle loneliness, seclusion, survival. The most captivating of all is his growing relation with black combatant Sapara. Cast includes Aidan Quinn, Ade Sapara, Warren Clark, Hepburn Grahame, Jimmy Nail, Tim Spall, Michael Higgins, Shane Rimmer, and Oliver Platt. (91 minutes, 1988)

Red: Very last film in Kieslowski's "3 Colors" trilogy which, like Blue and White, might stand alone with its self contained tale. Fashion model Jacob meets upset, retired magistrate Trintignant accidentally, then creates a relationship with him and enters his cloistered, secret life. Set in Geneva, this is a story of few entangled lives. Cast includes Irene Jacob, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Frederique Feder, Jean-Pierre Lorit, Juliette Binoche, Julie Delpy, and Benoit Regent. (99 minutes, 1994)

Guns N Roses New Sound Still Rocks

By Patrick Daniels

The new Guns N Roses release has gotten a lot of attention because it doesn't sound like the old stuff we all knew and loved. Yes, it is a different sound, but I don't think that's a bad thing.

Appetite for Destruction, the first album, was just about perfect for a debut. It had just the right mix of punk, blended with a little glam influence, all wrapped up with a loud and brash attitude. Appetite brought them out of the box screaming and set the stage for what was to become their signature sound.

The Illusion albums carried the rock influence and strung it out, making a more epic and sweeping feel. There were still some hard rocking songs, but everything felt bigger, more polished and lost a little bit of its grimy back alley feel. They were still very good, and seemed a natural evolution for the band. Now, after 15 years we get another face slap of rock and roll from Axel. It is a new sound, but it sounds like an updated G n R album.

Other than Axl, there are no returning original members of the band. Thats okay, because Axl would make them crazy anyway. I know that the album cover says Guns N Roses, but this is most definitely an Axl Rose album. If it just had his name on the cover, it might have been a little better received. If the die hard fans give the album a chance, then I think that they will hear some of the classic sounds, some of the classic riffs that the hard rocking band of the eighties perfected.

The first two songs on the album open it up with frenzy. The title track, being the better of the two, lights it up and even though it was written over the last fifteen years, it still feels fresh and new. These groups of songs bridge the years from the last album to today. They could almost all be played on the radio and have unique sounds that are far better than 90 percent of the other so called rock out there. I would much rather blast this album while cruising in my car than Nickelback or Three Doors Down or Daughtry or any of a hundred other rock bands that sound the same---weak. - 18758

DVD Movies Downloads

By Herb Elliott

We have some film reviewed in the following paragraphs. You can use a search engine to find movie download sites. A good movie download search would use phrases such as "Movie Download Web Sites", "Download Video", and "DVD Movie Online Rentals".

The Last Time I Saw Archie: Webb's lone try at comedy is less ludicrous than some of his more earnest films; a shame, since William Bowers' script-based on his own Army experiences had genuine potential, and Mitchum pleasantly underplays as the con guy. By the way, the genuine Archie Chamber sued for invasion of privacy. Cast includes Robert Mitchum, Jack Webb, Martha Hyer, France Nuyen, Louis Nye, Richard Arlen, Don Tangles, Joe Flynn, and Robert Strauss. (98 minutes, 1961)

The Big Road: This movie is about a shy busboy who commits himself to a selfish nightclub singer. The film is abnormal (and oddly watchable), with extremely unorthodox roles for both Fonda and Ball. Cast includes Henry Fonda, Lucille Ball, Barton Mafamilye, Eugene Pallette, Agnes Moorehead, Sam Levene, Ray Collins, Hans Conried, and Ozzie Nelson. (88 minutes, 1942)

Horror Express: Cracketjack terror film, ingeniously orchestrated and well performed by the genre's megastars. Turn of the century chiller has a long iced up beast coming to life when being moved from Asia to the West. Lee and Cushing are adversary anthropologists aboard the train and Savalas is a power crazed Cossack officer. Cast includes Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Telly Savalas, Silvia Tortosa, and Jorge Rigaud. (88 minutes, 1972)

Patty Hearst: A dramatization of the newspaper heiress's abduction and succeeding brainwashing by the Symbionese Liberation Army. The movie never recovers from a painful first half hour that tries to express, from Hearst's point of view, the effects of this coordinated mental suffering she is put through. Cast includes Natasha Richardson, William Forsythe, Ving Rhames, Dana Delany, Frances Fisher, Jodi Long, and Olivia Barash. (108 minutes, 1988)

Trading Hearts: Trading Hearts is a meager baseball romance in which precocious II-yearold Lewis tries to exploit her mom (D' Angelo), a show-biz failure, into matrimony with busted-down ballplayer Julia. Cast includes Raul Julia, Beverly D' Angelo, Jenny Lewis, and Parris Buckner. (88 minutes, 1988)

The Littlest Horse Thieves: Well-made Disney period piece filmed in England, in reference to 3 kids's attempts to spare ponies who work the mines from neglect and mistreatment. Set at the turn of the century. Cast includes Alastair Sim, Peter Barkworth, Maurice Colbourne, Susan Tebbs, Andrew Harrison, and Chloe Franks. (104 minutes, 1977)

The Delta Factor: Alright Mickey Spillane story in regards to a private eye on a ClA mission to save a scientist imprisoned on an island. Cast includes Christopher George, Yvette Mimieux, Diane McBain, and Ralph Taeger. (91 minutes, 1970)

A Guy Namend Joe: Excellent cast flounders in lazy fantasy in reference to WW2 guide Tracy returning to the planet to give youthful serviceman Johnson a hand in his romance with Tracy's lady friend Dunne. Cast includes Spencer Tracy, Irene Dunne, Van Johnson, Ward Bond, James Gleason, Lionel Barrymore, Barry Nelson, Esther Williams, and Don DeFore. (120 minutes, 1943)

The Mystery of Edwin Drood: A seemingly honorable English choirmaster (Pours) is essentially accountable for a terrible murder. This is an excellent Hollywood adaptation of Charles Dickens' incomplete novel, which inspired a Broadway musical in the 1985. Cast includes Claude Pours, Douglass Montgomery, E. E. Clive, and Valerie Hobson. (87 minutes, 1935)

This short list is an example of the variety of films you can find online that you can download. You can find movies like these at download sites, which you can find by searching "Online Music Downloads" or "Full Length Movie Downloads" If neither of those work use "Movie Download Sites". - 18758
