What You Have To To Reflect On Before You Download Movies

By Laura D Rodriguez

These days it is simple and trouble-free to get the movie you want to see, right when you want to see it by downloading it immediately to your computer. Nevertheless, you do need to consider a few things before you initiate downloading in order to guard yourself and your computer.

It is likely to find sites that will allow you to download movies for free. This is a direct defiance of copyright laws and the "free" offer could end up costing you more in the long run since you are putting your computer at risk for viruses, adware, and malware and yourself at risk for legal problems.

So be sure before you download that the site you are getting the movie from is a of good standing and reliable site. All of the officially authorized sites have a software program that calculates the total of royalties that they owe the copyright owner of the work. This is essential in order not to break these laws.

By downloading from an illegal site you are more liable to be putting your computer at risk for viruses. Avoid the totally free sites, as the risk is too high for potentially high-priced tribulations afterward.

Before you start downloading anything on your computer, it is smart to make sure that you have an updated and working virus protection program installed. It is possible to get a virus from even the most respectable sites; thus it is crucial to have a good virus protection plan in place.

Copyright owners are becoming more and more vigilant about defending their rights. There have even been a few cases in the past where regular people were prosecuted for violating copyright laws. If you download a movie that is in violation of copyright, you are breaking the law and you can be prosecuted. Be particularly wary and make sure that the site you download from is legal.

Be sure that you know all of the possible charges and fees that will be involved in the process. Make sure that you read any "fine print" to avoid any sudden charges on your account.

Check out a few websites before making a choice to use one. Be sure that they are official and check the variety and selection that they offer before you sign up. Make sure that you are getting what you want in a movie site. - 18758

The Gibson Guitar Story

By Frank Frederics

Anyone that has just started playing guitar or has been playing for a little (or long) while has probably wanted to have a Gibson guitar if they do not already own one of the many fine models. Over the years, Gibson has made themselves known as a top player in the music and guitar industry and many famous guitarists have been using their guitars exclusively.

Gibson began with their first guitar that they brought out to the world back in 1936, the ES-150. This popular guitar became, at that time, top electric guitars for jazz music for its sound alone. For it's time, it was quite an accomplishment in the music world.

However, it was in 1952 when they released their most well known and popular model, the Les Paul. The first Les Paul solid body electric guitar had a single coil pick up called the P-90 which is part of the reason for the amazing tone that they can produce by a skilled player.

About nine short years later, they came out with another very popular model (best known for being used by AC/DC's guitarist, Angus Young), the SG. Some people say that the SG stood for standard guitar. This guitar has a thinner body than the Les Paul creating a slightly different tone.

After the success of these two guitar releases, Gibson started designing other models which included the Explorer, Flying V, Firebird and others. Just about all of the models of guitars became very successful which says something for the company itself.

With the amount of other guitar companies emerging in the music world, it is amazing to see Gibson staying on the top end of the pack. They have always been committed to making the highest quality instrument that they are able to make. If you do not own one yet, get one or at least try one out! - 18758

No Selling Out For Blink 182's Take Off Your Pants and Jacket

By Stevie Sanchez

If you're one of those music lovers who dig fun, funky, feel-good music and likes to have their serving of green humor as well, then you would like Blink 182's Take Off Your Pants and Jacket album.

This is their fourth studio album, released on June 12, 2001. Following the success of Enema of the State and The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show, the American pop-punk band has once again hit gold with this record.

It has spawned hit singles like The Rock Show, First Date, and Stay Together for the Kids. There were about 4.5 million copies sold worldwide and went double platinum in the United States. This was also Blink 182's only album that debuted at the top spot of the Billboard 200 and sold more than 350,000 copies during the first week of release.

In everything that we do, one must always strive for something different, if not better. And this is what Blink 182 has managed to do with this record. Though it still has the same pop-punk sound they were famous for, listeners of the CD will see that the band has exerted more effort to come up with more relevant songs that has more than obscenities in their lyrics. The tracks Stay Together for the Kids, Reckless Abandon, and Shut Up prove this point.

Personally, the band has been able to come out of their shell in this album. The melodies sound good. Each track has very interesting and admirable rifts, and the lyrics have more depth. This is great for a band that has been on the music scene for quite some time. The ability to be able to give your audience something new (and better) will help make you stay longer and keep you interesting.

However, there is always the issue of selling out. For some hard core punk fans, Blink 182 has sold out on their fans with coming up with ballad-type songs, which is really unfair on the band's part. Writing and composing new songs unlike most of their previous works should not be seen as selling out on fans. If anything, it should be seen as an innovation and coming of age.

Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is a testament to the band's musicality. If you take the time to really listen to the tracks, you will see that Blink 182 has not abandoned the type of music that made them likeable and famous. There are still songs that are loaded with obscenities and good-natured humor (Happy Holidays, You Bastard and Mother's Day)-something that original Blink 182 fans will truly enjoy.

Most noticeable in the album are the new songs that talks about relationships and feature interesting musical technicalities and powerful and passionate vocals. Anthem Pt. 2 is a very well-written song, way better than Anthem Pt. 1 from the third album. This goes to show that Blink 182 has the chops to write songs that have depth and meaning. Story of a Lonely Guy will surprise you. Aside from the deep emotion you will hear from Tom's vocals, the lyrics are unlike the band has come up before. - 18758
