A Few Basic Film Reviews

By Gabriel Bright

For years now, the video store was the way to get movies. High speed internet access has now made it possible to download movies right off a movie download site. Here are some examples of movies you can acquire through a movie download site.

Rock Star: In the early 1980s, a wide-eyed youthful guy fronts a band that slavishly copies his favorite heavy-metal band and then gets an offer to take their lead singer's place. It appears too excellent to be real, and he comes to see that it is. That lecture is evident to us from the start. Simplistic storyline sabotages genuine, likable acting jobs by Wahlberg and Aniston as his lady friend and supervisor. Cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Jennifer Aniston, Jason Flemyng, Timothy Olyphant, Timothy Spall, Dominic West, Stephan Jenkins, Jason Bonham, and Heidi Mark. (106 minutes, 2001)

Ratatoulli: This animated family movie is the story of a rat named Remy, who dreams of being a well renowned French cook. He makes his way to Paris to live out his dream. He eventually teams up with a clumsy kitchen helper in a famous restaurant to try and live out his dream.

Striptease: Erin Grant is a stripper at the Eager Beaver. She is trying to raise enough money to get her daughter back from her divorced jerk of a former husband. Things spin out of control for Erin when a corrupt congressman comes to the club and takes a liking to her.

Space Cowboys: After missing out on being the first Americans in space in 1958, now senior citizens Frank Covin and his pilot buddies are getting a second chance. When Soviet communications satellite has problems, Frank, who designed it, is the only one capable of fixing it. So, now 42 years later, Frank and his friends will get their trip to outer space, becoming the first senior citizens to make such a voyage.

Unlawful Entry: Michael and Karen Carr have had a chilling experience. Someone broke into their house, and tried to rob them. When Officer Pete Davis shows up to help, out he seems like a godsend. In the days to come they find officer Davis might be their worst nightmare.

Mr. Quilp: Amusing lyrical rendition of Dickens' The Old Shop with melodies by Newley and lyrical score by Elmer Bernstein. Lighthearted till last reel when it goes earnest in the Dickens vein. Cast includes Anthony Newley, David Hemmings, David Warner, Michael Hordern, Jill Bennett, and Sarah Jane Vadey. (118minutes, 1975)

Wild Wild West: This is a big screen adaptation to the old TV series of the same name. James West and his buddy Artemus Gordon are determined to stop the evil Dr. Arliss Loveless, who is planning to assassinate the president. Will Smith stars as James West.

Delirious: An entertaining satire of fame and stardom as seen through the beady, bitter eyes of uncouth NYC paparazzo Buscemi. Xbox 360 - To Cheat or Not to Cheat

By Taylor Sanders

Many people would agree that when you are playing a game on the Xbox 360 and you hit a point where you are stuck and cannot go further, resorting to cheats is not the best way out. This is the quickest and easiest way out of any situation and most of the time it is not the best. 'You will only be fooling yourself' is the attitude of many people who are against cheating in games.

You need to remember that the game production companies design these games in such a way so that they can prove to be a challenge. The puzzles in the Tomb Raider games are in fact a perfect example, even though those who are avid fans may not find the puzzles impossible to overcome.

Amusingly enough, there are so many people who really get frustrated when they end up getting stuck in a game because for them, the main goal is to get through the game. The minute they get stuck they resort to the cheats, often using cheats which are capable of competing a level automatically.

The bottom line is; it takes a serious gamer to acknowledge the fact that cheating is wrong. Of course, it's easy to see why they feel this way, given that games can be incredibly expensive. If you find yourself stuck at a certain point for two or three hours, then rather than resorting to cheats, you should appreciate the fact that that is how the game is meant to be.

Of course there are some games which are exceptionally difficult, but that's the whole point. Irrespective of how difficult a game may be, you need to remember that it's not impossible to get through the game. In fact, that's why the production companies use game testers so that they can determine whether or not it's possible to complete a game from start to finish.

The logic behind this approach is that if they can get through the game, then so can you. You simply have to realize that some games require more thinking than others, but if you're a fan of action games in that you enjoy shooting the hell out of your enemies, then puzzle games can prove to be extremely challenging. This is essentially because you are accustomed to fighting your way through numerous enemies and when you get stuck, cheating simply doesn't solve the problem.

There are many people who view cheating in a game the same as they view cheating in a real life situation. Just as you shouldn't cheat in real life, so you should refrain from doing so when you play a game. If you do find yourself stuck at a certain point, you need to gather your thoughts so that you can look for a way past, bearing in mind that there is a way past and that you simply need to find it.

If you've always relied on cheats to get through a game, then the next time you play a new game you should really try to get through without using cheats. Firstly, you won't end up fooling yourself, and secondly, you'll be playing the game the way it should be played, but above all, you'll also end up enjoying it a lot more. - 18758
