There are different subgenres under Christian music songs of praise if you want something new such as the urban contemporary gospel. This music is very similar to the modern music of rock and alternative that we listen today but of course with Christian lyrics.

If you are more on the country side then Christian country gospel is another option. This is also known as country gospel music or inspirational country. It is always known to have positive lyrics and is still evolving.

The Southern gospel is known as quartet music. This is because it is usually sung by all male composed of tenor, bass, barritone and lead vocals. It is all about God's answers to our everyday life struggles.
